A browser-based MIDI player that sends note, pedal, and expression data to your piano over Bluetooth MIDI. Built for the Kawai CA series but works with any MIDI output device.
Uses the Web MIDI API to send MIDI messages with sub-millisecond precision via a lookahead timestamp scheduler. All note velocities, sustain/soft/sostenuto pedal, expression, and pitch bend data from the file are forwarded to your instrument.
The built-in library uses the MAESTRO Dataset v3 by Google Magenta — 1,276 virtuoso piano performances captured on Yamaha Disklaviers at the International Piano-e-Competition (2004–2018). These are real human performances with full dynamics, rubato, and pedalling at ~3ms timing precision.

1. Open Audio MIDI Setup (search in Spotlight).
2. Go to Window → Show MIDI Studio.
3. Click Configure Bluetooth in the toolbar.
4. Turn on Bluetooth on your piano, then click Connect next to it.
5. Open this app in Chrome — your piano will appear in the Output Device dropdown.
Space Play / Pause Esc Stop
When you switch tabs during playback, Chrome throttles background timers. This can cause notes and pedal events to be delayed or dropped — you may hear missing notes or sustain glitches. Keep the tab in the foreground for best results.
Does not work on phones or tablets — the Web MIDI API is only supported on desktop Chrome and Edge.
